Student Conduct Leadership Program

Gold Council

The Gold Council is a student leadership program designed to educate students on the skills and tools that may be useful when serving on a conduct committee hearing. In addition, the Gold Council Ambassadors provide outreach presentations and programming to educate the campus community in regards to the Principles of Community and the Code of Student Conduct.

MONDAY(4/16)
STUDENT LEARNING CENTER WORKSHOP
Unit 2, Towle L11: 7-8pm
Learn to plan effectively for writing assignments as well as time management skills, and proper citation techniques.

TUESDAY(4/17)
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PANEL
International House: 7-8pm
Interact with a panel of international students to learn what constitutes academic dishonesty and how to avoid it.

WEDNESDAY(4/18)
IS THIS CHEATING?
Upper Sproul: 11am-2:30pm
Come see if you can correctly categorize various actions as cheating. Free pencils and tea!

THURSDAY & FRIDAY(4/19&20)
PHOTOBOOTH
Upper Sproul: 11:00am-2:30pm
Make a pledge to uphold Academic Integrity, and take a picture in our photobooth. Free Green Books and pencils!

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY WEEK PLEDGES

During the Fall 2011 Academic Integrity Week, students made personal pledges to uphold the academic standard at Cal as they felt that this was an important principle within our community. Below are a few examples of UC Berkeley students pledges to act with integrity in their academics.

Student Conduct Statistics

In 2009-2010, Student Conduct and Community Standards addressed 37 cases involving student organizations.

 

221 cases were related to academic misconduct in 2009-2010.

 

In 2009-2010, 955 cases were referred to Student Conduct & Community Standards.

 

30 cases were resolved by a hearing panel in 2009-2010.
Student Conduct and Community Standards resolved 96 football gameday citations in 2009-2010.
